Occupational Therapy & Support Services
Neuroaffirming support for children, young people, adults and professionals — grounded in understanding, connection and meaningful participation in everyday life.
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy supports people to understand themselves and navigate everyday life in ways that feel manageable, meaningful and aligned with who they are.
When we talk about “occupations”, we mean the everyday things you need, want, or are expected to do — from getting ready in the morning, to connecting with others, to participating in school, work or community life.
Our role is to support you to participate in those activities in ways that work for your brain, your body and your life.
Our approach
Our work is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming practice. We aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood and supported to grow in ways that feel right for you.
-

We do not try to change who you are or how you experience the world
-

We focus on understanding needs and experiences, not correcting behaviour
-

We adapt environments and expectations to support the person, not change them
-

We prioritise wellbeing, safety and autonomy in all areas of support
-

We work collaboratively, following your lead and what matters most to you
What support can look like

Why it feels hard
What supports or adjustments can make things feel easier
Support may include:
Developing self-understanding and emotional awareness
